Welcome to the British Convent School, popularly known as British International Convent School. It is a dream project, aiming to reach out to the newer heights of academic and human elevations. Established in the pollution free environment at Patiala Road, the British Convent School stands proud with its entire majestic architectural splendor. With an embarkation of academic, intellectual, emotional and social in nature, the world class education process, at British Convent School, aims to provide exceptional experience to its students.
British Convent School is affiliated with the Council for the Indian School Certificate Examinations (CISCE), popularly known as ICSE. The school’s affiliation code is PU097 and is affiliated up to 10+2 level, including all streams.
The Council for the Indian School Certificate Examinations (CISCE) is the Council (board) of school education that conducts the Indian Certificate of Secondary Education (ICSE) Examination for Class X and the Indian School Certificate (ISC) for Class XII. It was established in 1958. This Indian Council was set up on the grounds that a board was required to administer the examinations being conducted in India by the University of Cambridge and to optimally tailor them according to the nation’s need. The future education policies were prepared under the aegis of the Cambridge University.The World Class School has multi dimensions and academics is the one of them. Academic excellence could never be fully measured by marks alone, but it can include a child’s well-being as well as their mind and characteristics to become winners of tomorrow. The child, who excel in their academic endeavours will soon become competent professionals, contributing to the advancement of their respective industries and of the societies they are part of. To exert efforts in instilling our students the significance of world class education, thus, to challenge them strive for it, the school has divided students into two wings
- British Senior (Key Stage I to XII) and
- British Junior (Foundation Stage I – IV)
Extracurricular activities teach students to work as a “unit” and be team players. These non–academic activities serve as a part of development modules which can make the students think from a somewhat simpler point of view of themselves and the world around them. Extracurricular activities are a kind of learning method that includes observation, practice and experience. Students can perform better in both the internal and external skills such as self-acceptance, self-esteem, sexual orientation, career goals and others. In the article of Curriculum planning, sustained development and reforms by the country’s educational purposes as manifested. The school has grouped students in four houses to perform extracurricular activities. These houses are named on the names of great scientists of the world.

The School Building
The school has beautiful World Class Building designed as per British architectural concepts. The beautiful building of the school encompasses the best of infrastructure for the young learners. Each block comprises of big, airy, colourful classrooms, complete with its own sparkling washrooms. The look and the architecture attract the eyeballs. Since the British Convent School has been keeping the legacy with its well-established world class building.
Smart Classrooms
Smart students need smart technologies. Thus, British Convent School is providing students with Smart Classrooms. The school is having smart, highly-equipped and fully air-conditioned classrooms besides projectors, smart panels and ACs. Each classroom has unique, colourful and theme-based beautiful furniture. All of these facilities have been provided to spread the good and positive vibes for students around their classroom. Usually, people neglect the vibe and force students to just focus on study but the vibe is equally important for the students. Hence, the British Convent School developed the Smart classrooms for the youngsters considering the positive atmosphere of students. The world is smart and the students need to be smarter.
Auditorium
In an order to give students a platform to express their art and talent, the British Convent School has established a hi-tech Auditorium with a theatre like experience. The auditorium is equipped with professional projectors and Dolby sound. The stage is set for the students to perform and showcase their talent. The aim is to enhance the art of students and polish them so that they can go further in their future.
The Swimming Pools
British Convent School is not only having smart classrooms but also it is a smart school itself. It is comprised of all the modern facilities. The school has swimming pools as well. The pools include Main and Baby Swimming pools for the junior and senior students. The ultra-modern swimming pool is made with world-class aesthetics, design and specifications.
Library
A library is a temple of learning, and, the history is evident, that learning has liberated more people than all the wars in the past. British Convent School is having a state-of-the-art computerized library named ‘Shakespeare’ which is well stocked with books of various genres like science, general knowledge, moral values, fairy tales, and several encyclopedias etc.
Computer Room
The computer room in British Convent School is called ‘Galaxy’ as it has latest multimedia computers, well connected with fiber internet. ‘Galaxy’ gives new heights to children’s learning atmosphere and helps them matching the pace of the modern education. The computer is future and the British Convent School is making sure that future is in great hands.
Science Labs
The school is having well-equipped labs for Physics, Chemistry and Biology to fulfill the practical needs of students. British Convent School makes sure that students get all the practical learning along with the theory. Therefore, the Physics lab has been named ‘Albert Einstein Lab’, while Chemistry lab is called ‘Alfred Nobel Lab’ and Biology lab is called ‘Charles Darwin Lab’. Some experiments script history and you never know one experiment leads you to the success. Therefore, British Convent School encourages experiments and practical learning.
Music Room
In an order to develop the taste for music and motivate students toward singing, the British Convent School has established a well-furnished music room which has been named ‘Tagore Room’. The music room, aka ‘Tagore Room’ is equipped with all sorts of music instruments. The music room aims to develop the taste of music in students by providing them with almost all types of music instruments, including drums, guitar, keyboard, etc.
Medical Room
God forbid, in case of any emergency or medical problem, British Convent School has established a medical room for students, called ‘Mother Teresa Room’, which is equipped with all the necessary facilities. The parents are always kept in loop about the health status of their children. The medical room is fully equipped to administer the first aid and deal with other medical issues that may occur in the school premises.
Playgrounds
Sports help students gain physical and mental strength. It not only helps students to stay healthy, but also helps them in character building traits. Sports teach students to gain self-confidence, manage emotions besides learning discipline, social skills, to have patience, perseverance, to accept defeat, teamwork, to respect the authority and the leadership skills. So, it’s not just sports, it’s a lot. In an order to give students all the above-mentioned benefits, British Convent School is having extensive and vast playgrounds and swimming pools for sports like Swimming, Basketball, Lawn-Tennis, Skating, Football, Volley-Ball, Cricket, Hockey, and Badminton among others. Freedom From Stage Fear
‘Freedom from Stage Fear’ is the one of the main mottos of British Convent School. The fear of stage remains within a student forever that hamper their confidence and stops them to step. To instill confidence in students, we make sure that each student participates in all the activities and perform on stage. Once conquered the fear of stage, a student can gain self-confidence and accomplish the ability to deal with all kind of situations without hesitating to speak.
Co-Curricular Activities
When it comes to the co-curricular activities, the British Convent School is having a motto of ‘Freedom from Stage Fear’. With this initiative, we encourage students to have leadership qualities and freedom from stage fear. To explore the hidden talent in the students, various house and stage activities like western/classical dance, dramatics, quizzes, festival celebrations etc. are organized on a regular basis. To further build self-confidence among students, we make sure that each and every child participates in each activity and function.
Performing Art
The students, here at British Convent School, are encouraged to perform on stage in various activities that include Dance (Indian Classical, Folk and Western), Singing, Music, Drama, and Elocution (Debate, Storytelling Sessions, and Puppet Shows etc.)
Creative Arts & SUPW
In an order to enhance students’ creativity and thinking power, the school provides well-designed creative and SUPW curriculum to its students. SUPW stands for Socially Useful Productive Work. As a part of the creative and SUPW curriculum activities, the students are encouraged to take part in activities like Art & Craft, Painting, Photography, Gardening, Calligraphy, Drawing, Poster-Making, Poem Recitation, Effigies Making, Rangoli-Making, and Class Decoration.
